To make Rajasthani Churma you will need:

  1. 1/2 cup wheat flour
  2. 1/4 cup and 3 tbsp ghee
  3. 3/4 cup refined oil
  4. 2 tbsp semolina
  5. 1/4 cup jaggery powder
  6. Milk as needed
  7. 2 tbsp mix of dry fruits


Churma Recipe:

Step 1 – To make this delicious Churma recipe, take a large vessel and add wheat flour along with semolina to it.

Step 2 – Mix well and then add 4 tbsp ghee to the mixture and crumble the mixture with your hands.

Step 3 – Next, pour the milk in batches into the wheat-semolina mixture and knead the dough. 

Step 4 – After kneading the dough, cover it with a cotton cloth and keep the dough aside.

Step 5 – When the dough hardens, place it on a flat surface and divide into small equal portions into balls. 

Step 6 – Take one ball in your hand and press it lightly between your palms to flatten it slightly. 

Step 7 – Repeat the process to make more such flat balls.

Step 8 – Now place a deep bottom pan on medium heat and heat oil in it. 

Step 9 – When the oil is hot enough, carefully drop the churma balls into it and fry them.

Step 10 – When the churma turns crisp and golden brown, cover the burner and use a napkin to absorb the excess oil.

Step 11 – Let these churma balls cool for about 10 minutes until you can handle them.

Step 12 – Now take a grinder jar and put the fried balls in it. Grind them all to get a smooth powder mixture.

Step 13 – Then take a big bowl and put the churma in it.
